The aim of this design is to spread awareness about the harm that comes with urban development. I will be focusing on the mottled duskywing butterfly who is a species that has had their natural habitat destroyed by humans. This design is intended to be a statement piece, the statement being, acknowledging what us, as humans have done wrong with hopes that we can learn from it and improve doing things right. This does not necessarily mean the people that will wear it are against urban development, which is the cause of the endangerment for the mottled duskywing, but rather they strive to make these changes in a way where the land can be shared and no species is harmed.
